Board Certified Pediatric Specialist
Dr. Ortiz has called the Rogue Valley home since 2000. She is a native Texan who, after living abroad, followed her dream to settle in the Pacific NW. She completed her dental school training at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, practiced for seven years as a general dentist in the US Army, then returned to specialize in pediatric dentistry at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Ortiz has practiced in dentistry since 1991, and is a board certified pediatric dentist. She believes in the importance of education as the first step in preventing dental disease. The focus of her team at Grins4Kidz is appropriate early intervention for each child and family. Dr. Ortiz likes fitness, cooking, and any activity that takes her outside.
Dr. Kim
Board Certified Pediatric Specialist
Like Dr. Ortiz, Dr. Heeter is also a native Texan who is happy to call the Rogue Valley home. After completing her dental school training at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry she practiced general dentistry for two years, then attended The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston where she received her specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Heeter and her husband then moved to Seattle where they fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Heeter is also board certified in pediatric dentistry and has experience practicing dentistry in community clinics as well as private practice since 2003, and enjoyed her time as faculty at the dental schools in Seattle and San Antonio. In her free time she enjoys spending as much time as she can in the great outdoors with her husband and son.
Marti
Practice Manager
Marti is a native of Southern Oregon and has been in the medical and dental field since 2001. She is proud to have been with Dr Ortiz since 2003, and is a founding member of Grins4Kidz in 2006. As office manager, she is highly dedicated and equally committed to her entire team, patients, and their families. She enjoys camping, hiking and swimming with her dog, friends and family.
Sausha
Administration and Certified Dental Assistant
Proudly born and raised in Medford, Sausha has a passion for working in the dental field and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She has dental experience in office administration and chair-side assisting since 2012. Becoming a Grins4Kidz team member in 2019, she works front office and as a dental assistant, sees patients as well. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, swimming, and camping with her children, friends, and family.
Angela
Expanded Functions Pediatric Dental Assistant
Angela grew up in Southern Oregon and has been in the dental field since 1996. A Grins4Kidz team member since 2014, she is an expanded functions chair-side assistant and also teaches dental assisting. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the lake, flowers, and spending time with her daughter and family.
Nicole
Expanded Functions Pediatric Dental Assistant
Nicole is a native of the Rogue Valley and has been with the Grins4Kidz team since 2011. Becoming a dental assistant in 1996, it is Nicole's passion to work with children and ensure they have a positive and fun visit. An avid horsewoman, she enjoys spending her time riding, camping and hiking with her family and always finds the time to enjoy a good book.
Becky
Expanded Functions Pediatric Dental Assistant
Becky is a native of the Rogue Valley and has been active in the dental field since 1996 . Also a founding team member of Grins4Kidz in 2006, she has been an expanded functions chair- side assistant to Dr. Ortiz since 2002. She enjoys nutrition, fitness and outdoor activities with her dog and family.
